CardioPulmonary Resuscitation
The CardioPulmonary Resuscitation course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to administer resuscitation.
Resuscitation refers to the actions taken to keep a casualty alive after their breathing and heartbeat has stopped.
A Statement of Attainment from Royal Life Saving is issued upon successful completion in the following units:
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

First Aid
The First Aid course will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to administer First Aid
to a victim of illness or injury until the arrival of professional medical help.
First Aid requires participants to complete a workbook (or online activities) prior to the course commencement.
The course outlines the important aspects of first aid (including resuscitation) and involves practical applications and assessments as well as a theory exam.
A Statement of Attainment from Royal Life Saving is upon successful completion in the following units:
- HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Course Cost: $120.00
HLTAID004: We can also provide First Aid in an Education & Care Setting which is unit of competence HLTAID004.
The course is a First Aid course suitable to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting.
This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
Specific licensing requirements, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and/or relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.
Completion of this module takes a little longer and cost an additional $30.

The course is a First Aid course suitable to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting.

Bronze Medallion
The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion is recognised as the minimum standard for a qualified lifesaver.
The course aims to develop the level of judgement, technique and physical ability required to safely carry out water rescues and involves practical applications, assessments of CPR on manikins, as well as a theory exam.
Upon successful completion participants will receive the following Statement of Attainments:
- SISCAQU002 Perform Basic Water Rescues
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Pool Lifeguard
The current minimum industry requirement for employment as a Pool Lifeguard at a Swimming Pool or Aquatic Facility is the Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard qualification.
The Pool Lifeguard course is conducted over two days. Participants must have current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment to enrol into this course.
This course aims to develop acceptable standards of knowledge, judgement and physical abilities for the supervision of people in swimming pools and involves practical applications as well as a theory exam.
Upon successful completion participants will receive the following Statement of Attainments:
- SISCAQU002 Perform Basic Water Rescues
- SISCAQU006 Supervise Clients at an Aquatic Facility or Environment
- SISCAQU007 Perform Advanced Water Rescues
- PUAEME003C Administer Oxygen in an Emergency Situation
- PUAEME001B Provide Emergency Care

Pool Lifeguard Package
This course is the same as the pool lifeguard, but includes a First Aid course. Completing the course in a package is cheaper than doing the courses separately.

Pool Lifeguard Re-accreditation (includes CPR)
An re-accreditation course for those that need to re-accredited an existing Pool Lifeguard qualification.
You need to have an existing RLSS Pool Lifeguard Award (dated less than 12 months) to complete a re-accreditation.

Low Voltage Rescue

The Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel course provides you with the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live low voltage panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.
Upon successful completion participants will receive the following Statement of Attainments:

- HLTAID001 Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Pool Plant Operator
Candidates are provided with the knowledge and skills relevant to the supervision and operation of an aquatic facility, plant and associated equipment and the monitoring and maintenance of water quality.
Course Cost: $600.00

Cert III and Cert IV in Swimming Pool & Spa Service
This qualification provides swimming pool and spa technicians with the skills and knowledge required to treat water quality
problems as well as service and repair the key components of commercial and public swimming pools. Whilst there are no
formal pre-requisites for this qualification, this course is contextualised for those who work in an aquatic facility and are
responsible for managing and repairing commercial swimming pools.
