Royal Rescuers (1 hour Program)

The Royal Rescuers 1 hour Water Safety Education Program is a water safety and CPR awareness skills and knowledge program for school students (prep – year 8), aiming to provide the skills and knowledge for staying safe in and around the water, how to offer assistance and CPR awareness.


Come Splash With Us

The Come Splash with Us Water Safety Education Program is a fun and interactive water safety program for Pre-schoolers (Pre-Kindy to Kindy) aiming to provide the starting blocks for staying safe in and around the water.

The Come Splash with Us Program endeavours to teach pre-schoolers a range of water safety knowledge for various aquatic environments and provide them with dry land and safe activities to experience and learn these skills.


Head Out of Water

The Head Out of Water Classroom Based Water Safety Education Program is a water safety and CPR awareness skills and knowledge program for Primary (Prep – year 6) school students aiming to provide the skills and knowledge for staying safe in and around the water, how to offer assistance and CPR awareness.


Wet & Wise

The Wet and Wise Classroom and Water Based Water Safety Education Program is a water safety, CPR awareness and aquatic survival skills and knowledge program for Primary (Prep – year 6) school students aiming to provide the skills and knowledge for staying safe in and around the water, how to offer assistance and CPR awareness.


Save Your Mates with 7's & 8's

The Save Your Mates with 7's & 8’s Program is a water safety, lifesaving and first aid skills program for middle school students aiming to provide the skills and knowledge for first aid, staying safe in and around the water and offering assistance in a rescue.


Water Smart

Water Smart is a classroom-based resource for teachers and schools to teach students from Foundation to Year 10 about aquatic environments, water safety, and basic rescue and resuscitation principles.

Royal Life Saving's goal is to make every kid 'Water Smart' so they can enjoy a lifetime of active and safe participation in aquatic sports and recreation. The Water Smart toolkit and resources are free to access.


Bronze e-Lifesaving

Bronze e-Lifesaving is an interactive e-learning program that challenges and engages youth on issues such as risk-taking behaviour, peer influences and alcohol consumption when recreating in and around water. Bronze e-Lifesaving teaches students survival skills, rescue techniques and basic emergency and first aid care for managing situations where their own or others’ wellbeing and safety may be at risk.

The program can be easily implemented in the classroom and has strong links to learning outcomes in the new Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education. The program is FREE for Australian secondary school students.

The Bronze e-Lifesaving program is complementary to the recreational Bronze Star and Bronze Medallion awards.


School Pathway Program

The Royal Life Saving School Pathway Program is a water safety, lifesaving and first aid skills program for High school students aiming to provide the skills and knowledge for first aid, staying safe in and around the water or offering assistance in a rescue.

The School Pathway Program recognises that students who participate in this program will gain skills and knowledge that may impact on their behaviours in aquatic locations and be able to render assistance in an emergency. It endeavours to teach participants a range of personal survival techniques and provide them with skills to deal with an emergency situation.

Included within the School Pathway Program are the following recreational awards:

  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Bronze Medallion
School Pathway Program Upgrade

The School Pathway Program Upgrade allows students completing the Student Pathway Program to achieve Units of Competency in their chosen courses; CPR, First Aid and/or Bronze Medallion. These units can help students gain employment or progress towards VET Certificates such as the Certificate III in Aquatic and Community Recreation.
