
Adult Migrant Water Safety Program: Embracing Diversity, Ensuring Safety
Program Overview
Australia’s waterways are breathtaking but without proper water safety skills, they can be dangerous. This fully funded program, proudly supported by the Sunshine Coast Council Grants Program, aims to educate and empower newly arrived migrants and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds with essential water safety knowledge.

- 📅 Dates: 17-21 November 2025
- 🕗 Session Times:
- Morning: 8:00am – 9:00am
- Evening: 5:00pm – 6:00pm
- 💸 Cost: Free of charge

All participants in the Migrant Water Safety Program will receive a FREE Swim Bag, packed with essentials to help build confidence and safety in the water:

- Goggles: Protect your eyes and see clearly underwater with our comfortable, high-quality swimming goggles. Designed with anti-fog lenses and UV protection, these goggles provide crystal-clear vision in both indoor and outdoor pools.
- Water Safety Resources: Our water safety flyers and information sheets are designed to educate, inform, and promote safe behaviour in and around water. These easy-to-read resources are filled with essential tips, practical advice, and engaging visuals

Please Note: Child-minding services are not available during this program. Participants are responsible for the care and supervision of their children at all times.
