At the Annual General Meeting on 29 September 2022 members of Royal Life Saving Queensland approved a new constitution.

In 2019 the board considered reviewing the constitution and in 2020 a Constitution Committee was established consisting of Mr Ross Williams, Mr Jim McClelland, Mr Colin Harris. The committee considered options such as a company limited by guarantee, but ultimately proposed to remain as an Incorporated Association.

A draft constitution was circulated to members on 2 September 2022 and members feedback had been incorporated in the presented to members. The board has committed to also review and updated by-laws in the coming months.

It was moved and passed as a motion that the constitution be approved and the board be empowered to submit the constitution to the Queensland Office of Fair Trading and the ACNC.
